AAS Accompanies NEU Youth in the “Green Journey 2025”: A Journey of Gratitude and Compassion
To express our gratitude and honor the merits of the Vietnamese volunteer martyrs who fought side-by-side with the Pathet Lao liberation forces to protect our two nations, the Party and State established this cemetery. It stands as a symbol of the determination, the ultimate sacrifice, and the profound bond between the military and the people, embodied by the elite sons of our brotherly nations — Vietnam and Laos,” shared Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu.

Within the framework of the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2025, Smart Invest Securities (AAS) proudly accompanied the Union members and students of the National Economics University (NEU) on a 1,500km journey through Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Quang Tri. The mission focused on “Gratitude” activities to honor fallen heroes and spread the traditional Vietnamese values of “When drinking water, remember its source” among the younger generation.

“Red Addresses” Marking the Nation’s Indomitable Spirit
The delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu, Vice President of NEU. Participants included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Chairman of the University Advisory Council; Dr. Vu Tri Tuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Youth Union and Secretary of the NEU Youth Union; along with members of the Youth Union Executive Committee, the Student Association, and the Student Party Cell of NEU.

During this pilgrimage to historical roots, the delegation offered incense at sacred historical sites—”red addresses” that witness the indomitable spirit and heroic sacrifice of martyrs for national defense. The first stop was the Vietnam-Laos International Martyrs’ Cemetery (Anh Son District, Nghe An Province)—the resting place of 10,804 volunteer soldiers and experts who sacrificed their lives in Laos.

“To honor and remember the great contributions of the Vietnamese volunteer martyrs who fought side-by-side with the Pathet Lao liberation forces… this cemetery is a symbol of determination and blood sacrifice from the elite sons of Vietnam and Laos,” Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu shared emotionally.

The delegation then visited the Dong Loc Junction in Ha Tinh Province, a vital “artery” and “choke point” for transporting manpower and resources from the North to the Southern battlefield during the war. Offering incense, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Ha was deeply moved by the noble sacrifice of the 10 young female volunteers who gave their lives in their late teens and early twenties for national independence and territorial integrity.

Dr. Phan Anh Tuấn, born and raised in Ha Tinh, shared: “I tell myself to live worthily of our ancestors’ blood and bones and to continue dedicating myself to the country.”

The journey continued to the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel—a witness to the fierce 81-day battle of 1972—and the Truong Son National Martyrs’ Cemetery, which houses over 10,000 graves of Truong Son soldiers, as well as the Road 9 National Martyrs’ Cemetery.

“Standing before these sacred landmarks in Quang Tri, I clearly feel my youthful heartbeat merging with the breath of history. I am forever grateful for the great sacrifice for our Fatherland,” said Dr. Vu Tri Tuan.

Hoang Ngoc Mai, Vice President of the Student Association, added: “In this place—amidst sacred soil and memories that never sleep—we recognize our responsibility to preserve the peace our ancestors shed blood to protect.”

Sharing Love with Underprivileged Students
Alongside gratitude activities, the delegation brought “suitcases of love” to four struggling schools: Phuc Son Secondary School (Nghe An), Vinh Ha Semi-boarding Primary School (Quang Tri), Hung Thuy Primary School (Quang Tri), and Ka Ooc Village School Point (Quang Tri).

Each school received gifts worth 35 million VND, including essential learning and living equipment, with total support reaching 140 million VND. Ms. Duong Thi Thu, Principal of Hung Thuy Primary School, shared: “The love we received is not just in material gifts but in the spirit and faith in the future spread by the delegation.”

At the Ka Ooc border site, where wooden classrooms have seriously deteriorated, Dr. Vu Tri Tuan expressed deep gratitude to the teachers who “sow the seeds of knowledge” despite extreme hardships. To provide long-term support, the “Gifting Bricks to Build Schools 2025” project presented a youth construction project worth 850 million VND, including classrooms and facilities, expected to be handed over this August.

“We hope this is not just a new school, but a source of encouragement… affirming that NEU youth will always accompany the cause of education,” Dr. Tuan emphasized.

The “Youth Journey 2025” concluded, leaving profound impressions. It was not just a trip, but a step following generations of NEU staff and students, bridging history, the present, and the future.

AAS is extremely proud to be the sponsor and companion of the “Youth Journey,” fulfilling this meaningful humanitarian mission.
