[Market News 17/12/2024] TRADING FAILS TO CREATE A MARKET HIGHLIGHT

Some important notes:

– There are still no significant highlights in the net buying and selling transactions of foreign investors at this time.

– The net selling trend has not yet ended, although its scale has significantly decreased compared to a few months ago.

– In the short term, it can be said that the follow-through day on 6/12/2024 failed. However, recent declining sessions, despite being quite negative, have not yet seen a strong bearish candle completely erase the bullish candle of the follow-through day. With the current trading style, it is likely that we are repeating the pattern of late 2013, where the second half of the year is still predominantly a sideways trend.
– Regarding cash flow trends: we see that weak basic trading cash flow tends to focus more on individual stocks rather than sectors. Most large-cap stocks take turns rising slightly, while higher performance often appears in the mid-cap and small-cap groups (not the “national” stocks). We believe this trend may continue until the end of December.
