– Foreign investors net bought over 22 billion VND (including all 3 exchanges). Top foreign net buy matching orders included codes: MCH, MBS, ABI,… Top foreign net sell matching orders included codes: ACV, SHS, TNG,… On HOSE alone today, foreign investors net sold over 300 billion. Basically, we have not yet seen the foreign net selling streak end, and 2024 is a record year for foreign net selling in the Vietnamese stock market.
– After the strong bullish candlestick on December 25, 2024, the index has 4 small, narrow-bodied candlesticks that have not erased the bullish candlestick. Theoretically, we are still in an upward trend in the market. Especially when the volume of transactions decreases, it often remains at a low level, indicating that selling pressure is not too significant. The bright spot is that in the recent period, the market has shown good differentiation, speculative capital has spread, and many stocks have started to yield over 20% in 1-2 weeks.
– Today, ATC selling pressure continued to appear in the final minute, pushing down the prices of BID and VCB. The well-performing group today was Viettel-related stocks (VGI, VTP, CTR…) while most small and medium-cap groups that had strong gains in the past month are facing profit-taking pressure and correction. Therefore, this trend may recur in the early days of 2025.
