[12/07/2022] MARKET NEWS: OUTSTANDING PROFITABILITY IN PORK INDUSTRY, REAL ESTATE, CONSTRUCTION

??Pig farming stocks are sharply increasing in price following the recent surge in pork prices. After 2 months of “stagnation” at 54,000-57,000 VND/kg, live hog prices nationwide unexpectedly rose sharply to 61,000 VND/kg from June 24, 2022, and currently, live hog prices in Hanoi fluctuate around 64,000 VND/kg, an increase of 5,000 VND compared to the beginning of the month. This is the main reason why DBC, HAG, and BAF maintained their price increase streak in the past period.
??The coal group also traded well recently with the news that Europe will resume coal imports to restart thermal power plants. However, as shared many times, the Vietnamese coal industry has the characteristic that most of its output supplied to power plants is subject to government price adjustments, and therefore, even if world coal prices increase, the strong profit improvement potential for the coal industry is not high. Of course, speculative demand following trends always occurs.
??The seafood group is being heavily sold off as investors take profits after an impressive price increase streak in the previous period. ANV is currently declining towards its medium-term support channel, which established an uptrend from early 2022.
??REE is trading in a rather negative pattern and is preparing to enter a medium-term downtrend. REE’s role as a safe haven has diminished as investors begin to shift towards higher-Beta stocks such as the real estate group. Technically, the price zone of 60 will be considered a stronger support for REE.
??Individual stocks such as DIG, VPH, HBC, VCG, CII, HDC… all had a good trading day despite the market’s sharp decline. In terms of chart patterns, this group is breaking above the MA(20) resistance and approaching the MA(50), currently facing resistance from the upper band.
??The VINCOM group experienced a sharp decline in the trading session due to rumors about Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong. However, this group was pulled back up during the ATC trading session when the Ministry of Public Security confirmed 10 individuals and administratively penalized them for spreading false information.
??VRE has the best growth potential, while we need to await VHM’s Q2 report to confirm sales figures for new launched projects. VIC may avoid losses this year thanks to the sale of subsidiaries and associated companies to offset losses for VinFast.
