[Market News 06/12/2024] MARKET BOOMS BEYOND EXPECTATION

Some important notes:

– It has been quite a while since foreign investors had such a strong net buying session as yesterday, and along with proprietary trading net buying 1,000 billion VND in the session, the market had a strong price increase.

– The VN-Index had an unexpected price increase session for most investors, and there is much debate about whether yesterday was an FTD session.

– The assessment of yesterday’s trading session is as follows:
(i) FTD appeared on days 4-7 of the recovery period: appeared on day 12.

(ii) Index increased by over 1.2%: index increased by 2.19% (achieved).

(iii) Liquidity higher than the previous day: Liquidity was 66% higher than the previous session and higher than the 20-session average (achieved).

(iv) Capital flow spread across the market, the index was not driven by a few large-cap stocks: Capital flow spread, the number of green codes (347) was 6 times the number of red codes (55), the strongest capital inflow was in the securities, raw materials, and banking sectors (achieved).

– Basically, comparing the criteria, we had an FTD day. The accuracy probability of FTD is 2/3, meaning there is still a 33% chance of failure, so it is necessary to evaluate the golden period of 1-5 days after FTD.
